About ACS-SA at UC San Diego

ACS-SA is the largest pre-professional chemistry student organization at UC San Diego. ACS allows chemists to connect in a safe and diverse environment whether it be faculty, industrial chemists, or fellow peers.

ACS-SA at UCSD is an all-in-one resource for UCSD chemistry students, and we strongly encourage anyone with interests in chemistry to attend ACS-SA events, member or not. Attend any of our weekly events to learn more about the society in chemistry and enjoy the free food provided for anyone in attendance!

Student Faculty Mixing

The American Chemical Society-Students Affiliate (ACS-SA) is hosting a Student-Faculty Mixer on May 3rd (Friday) from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the NSB Terrace. Our goal for this event is to close the gap between students and professors, making our department a more closely bonded community. You do not need to stay for the entire duration. Pre-symposium Lightening Talks_edited.jp

Pre-Symposium Lightning talks

This event is meant to provide an informal, casual setting for Symposium participants to practice presentations! It will take place on Wednesday, May 8th from 6:30-8pm (PST) at NSB. Due to time, we may only have 7 presenters. Preference will be given to first and second years or those who have never done a research presentation. You should also have submitted an abstract for our Annual Undergraduate Chemistry Research Symposium.
